Exhilarating 2 Hour ATV Tour on Hafrafell & Ulfarsfell Mountains with Transfer from Reykjavik

You’ll start the tour at the base camp for ATVs, just on the outskirts of Iceland’s capital; you can drive or bus there yourself, or be picked up from a predetermined meeting point in Reykjavík. Once you arrive, your experienced guides will dress you up in all necessary gear, and you’ll set out on your adventure.

To drive an ATV, you will need to present a valid driver’s license. Worry not if non-drivers and kids want to join the fun; those as young as six are more than welcome to hop on the back as passengers.

Your two-hour journey will take you over beautiful, rugged terrain. You’ll start by taking the bumpy route around Lake Hafravatn, before riding up and down two mountains, Hafrafell and Úlfarsfell.

The trails that take you to and from the summits are exhilarating to rush along, and the views from each peak are spectacular. At each, you will be welcome to stop for photos and to swap drivers if both of you are qualified.

In clear weather, you’ll see a range of landscapes and sites. Most notable are Reykjavík itself, its adjacent bay of Faxaflói, and the flat-topped mountain Esjan. If the weather is especially clear, you’ll even be able to marvel over the beautiful peninsulas of Snæfellsnes and Reykjanes.

After summiting Úlfarsfell, you’ll take the route back down the mountain, and return to base camp. After dropping off your ATV and equipment, the rest of the day is yours, to relax, pack in more tours, or to upload the beautiful photos you took on your adventure.
