Description

Add a thrilling excursion to your Iceland adventure by joining this ATV tour, where you'll zoom across volcanic landscapes and black sand beaches. This tour is perfect for all travelling daredevils that are looking to add scenic excitements to their holiday experience.

The tour begins at the meeting point in Grindavík on the Reykjanes Peninsula, right by the famed Blue Lagoon which you passed on your way from the airport upon arrival. There, you'll meet with your experienced local guides who will gladly provide all the gear necessary for your safety and comfort.

If you've never been on an ATV before, don't worry. No prior experience is required and you'll get the full briefing before starting your ride. The tour also starts at an easy and flat road during 10-15 minutes before truly kicking off, for you to get used to operating the ATV.

Your ride will take you to the beautiful bay of Krísuvík, consisting of mysterious shipwrecks and an amazing ocean view. Icelandic horses also graze in the area surrounded by lava fields, so rest assured you'll get your dose of nature and sightseeing during your thrilling excursion.

You'll also be cruising between two volcanic craters coated with moss, as you go over the mountain of Festarfjall before reaching the black sandy beaches of Selatangar, also known as the Bay of Seals.

Here, a short break is taken for you to take in the magnificent mountain views and walk around the volcanic beach, where old remains of a fishing village give a glimpse into the past of Iceland. The settlements here have been declared as sacred, but unfortunately, some of them are getting shattered by big waves during the high ocean tide.

On the way back, if time allows, you will head to the crown of Hagafell Mountain for a jaw-dropping panoramic view over the Blue Lagoon and Eldey Island. These stunning sites are the icing on the cake to conclude your tour, before returning to the base in Grindavík.

Don't hesitate in finding your inner daredevil and embarking on an incredibly scenic ATV ride through the volcanic landscapes and black beaches of the Reykjanes peninsula. Check availability by choosing a date.
