Description

Come and explore the Golden Circle in a comfortable minibus. This minibus tour gives you the chance to experience some of Iceland´s most magnificent attractions in a small group with highly qualified guides. This is one of the most visited and popular bus routes in Iceland.

You can choose to meet us at our office close to the Reykjavík Harbour, or opt for a pick up from the nearest downtown pick up point to your hotel, all based on your convenience. Then it is time to head out and explore.

The first stop is at Þingvellir National Park, where Althing, the old Parliament of Iceland, was located. Here, the boundaries of the Eurasian and North American plates, which run through Iceland, are clearly visible. The plates are moving apart here, and the land between them is subsiding.

From Þingvellir we head along the mountains to the world-renowned geothermal hot spring area around Geysir. Although the original Geysir is not active at the moment, its neighbour, Strokkur, spouts boiling hot water, every 5 or 10 minutes, between 20-40 m away from the ground.

After leaving the Geysir Geothermal area, the tour is headed towards Gullfoss. Gullfoss means the Golden waterfall, and you will not be disappointed there. A two-tier waterfall of 11 and 22-meter height respectively, it's one of Iceland's most impressive glacial waterfalls. On a sunny day, a rainbow will be likely to show up, and you can make wishes that might even come true!

Leaving this great waterfall, the next stop is a beautiful and dynamic waterfall, Faxi waterfall. Just above the waterfall is a common sheepfold and right next to the waterfall you can find some cool salmon ladder.

Closing the circle, we stop at Kerið, a circular crater lake. This crater is a nicely shaped pseudo crater formed some 5,000 years ago, with a deep lake in the bottom which is dark blue in colour.  It is one of the most visited places on the southwest of Iceland.

Afterwards, we'll head back to Reykjavík after the adventures of the day. Come and see the greatest attractions of Iceland on this minibus tour. Check availability by choosing a date.
