Description

On this private tour, you are booking a whole car that accommodates 4 passengers.

Join our Premium Golden Circle Tour by jeep to visit the most popular attractions as well as the hidden gems of Iceland, all in just one day. The main stops on this tour will be the spectacular Geysir, Gullfoss waterfall; Thingvellir National Park; the colorful crater Kerið, with its captivating volcanic lake; and the geothermal Secret Lagoon, a natural hot-water pool far from the crowds of the beaten path. Breathtaking views are guaranteed. This is an excellent tour if you have a short stopover in Iceland, as you will get to see some of the country's most beautiful places while enjoying all the comforts of a private tour.

The tour will start with a pickup from your hotel in Reykjavik. During the summer months, we will be heading south to one of the most scenic routes in Iceland, the beautiful Nesjavallaleið. This route features spectacular mountain ranges, colorful volcano craters, and the largest natural lake in Iceland, Þingvallavatn. Please note that this attraction is accessible only in the summer due to the closure of Nesjavallaleið road in the winter months.

If the tour is in the wintertime, the route is a little different: once we've picked you up, we will be heading straight to the Golden Circle, Iceland's most famous attraction.

The first stop on the tour will be Þingvellir National Park, where you can see the rift between the European and the North American tectonic plates, which are continually drifting apart due to tectonic movement. Another highlight of Þingvellir is the beautiful Öxaráfoss waterfall. We will have plenty of time to take a walk in the park and capture some photos of its stunning beauty. Your next stop will be the Reykjadalur hot springs area, where you will witness the eruptions of the spectacular geyser Strokkur (approximately every 10 minutes) and marvel at the colorful minerals in the surrounding hills.

After the geysers, we will drive even farther east to visit the fantastic Gullfoss, the golden waterfall. We will go along a path to have a closer look at the powerful falls and the nearby canyon.

From this area, it is possible to take an exciting tour to Iceland's most recently discovered ice cave, the Crystal Ice Cave on Lángjökull, Iceland's longest glacier. This wonderful cave was discovered in the autumn of 2021, and it is simply amazing, with translucent ice that makes you feel like crystal jewels surround you. A partner company runs the tour to the Crystal Ice Cave. You drive to the glacier for approximately 40 minutes from their basecamp and then jump on an 8x8 all-wheel drive Monster Glacier Truck built especially for driving on glaciers and extreme terrain. The truck has been built for maximum comfort, and a ride on it is certainly exciting. The whole tour to and in the Crystal Ice Cave takes about 4 hours, of which 40-50 minutes will be spent inside the cave. Please note this tour is optional. Please select it in the "Extras" at check out to book it. With a tour to the Crystal Ice Cave, the Private Luxury Golden Circle Tour will last about 14 hours. Alternatively, you can opt for a bath in the Secret Lagoon, one of Iceland's oldest natural pools, located in the small town of Fluðir. This natural geothermal pool is popular among tourists and Icelanders alike and is a great way to end your luxury tour on Iceland's Golden Circle after a day of sightseeing. Bathing in the secret lagoon is optional. Please book in the "Extras" before check-out. Please note you can only choose one of the optional activities, either the Crystal Ice Cave Tour or the entrance to the Secret Lagoon. Unfortunately, it is not possible to join both activities in one day due to time constraints. Time permitting, we will make further stops to explore some lesser-known attractions such as the Faxi waterfall, and you will get the chance to meet some Icelandic horses.

So don't miss out—book this attraction-packed tour of Iceland's most famous locales now! Check availability by choosing a date.

Good to know

The weather in Iceland can be quite unpredictable. Occasionally, especially during winter, the tour itinerary might be altered if weather and road conditions are unfavorable.

In the winter (November to February), due to limited daylight hours in Iceland in the winter, much driving will be done in the dark. While we do our best to make sure you have a great experience of the main attractions, some sites might be visited in dusk or darkness, or even skipped.
