This was a wonderful tour and I can't say enough good things. Our tour guide, Pétur, was friendly and knowledgeable and really made it a comfortable experience. (Apologies if I spelled that wrong, I did my best Pétur, I promise!) We were fortunate to have a one on one experience, and I think in that situation there can be some awkwardness - but that wasn't an issue at all. Not only were the sites we visited mind boggling gorgeous, but it was also a chance to speak with a local and really get a perspective you might not ordinarily get on scheduled tours of very touristy sites. As for the spots where we stopped - just wow. Absolute, otherworldly beauty. I saw a lot of waterfalls during my time in Iceland, but Goðafoss may be my very favorite. Foss is one of the few Icelandic words I managed to not completely mangle, so go see some of those amazing Foss... and I don't know how to make that plural, I apologize. One more shout out to Pétur for helping me try some more complicated Icelandic words and not mocking me too terribly as I mangled his beautiful language. I did my best. Dimmuborgir honestly made me feel like I was walking through the Neverending Story. No siting of the Yule cat, however, which was my secret unrealistic wish, seeing as it doesn't exist. What can I say, I just love a cat that eats children, it tickles me. Námaskarð was basically Mars, it's like they took you to Mars, I'm not even joking. The meal at cowshed farm resort was lovely - I recommend the lamb. Actually, just in general - eat lamb while you're in Iceland, you won't regret it. And of course, the Mývatn Nature Baths. I don't even need to describe how wonderful it felt to just float in the warm water and see the view. Of the few nature baths we visited on our trip, this one had the best views. I absolutely recommend this tour - it is worth every penny (Króna). And if you're lucky enough to have Pétur as a guide, please tell him Bethany and Dana say hello!

The Beer Spa experience was out of this world!. We were picked from our hotel right on time. Our Guide and driver Hlynur was a wealth of knowledge of Iceland's history, answering all our questions along the journey to the Beer Spa location. The Spa experience itself was surprisingly relaxing and warm, enjoying the beer as well. We spent half an hour in the beer spa before wrapping ourselves in the supplied robes and heading up to the relaxation room for a short lower leg massage and soothing music. My husband has a problem relaxing in these environment so we didn't stay long. We headed down to the infra-red sauna, before heading outside to the heated spa's outside under the stars. It was too early to see the northern lights at the time we were outside (7pm), but just relaxing in the warm spa with the cool air tantalising our faces made for an exceptional evening. We chose to eat at the bar/restaurant at the spa and the food was made fresh and delicious. The whole experience was exceptional. The service was exceptional from the staff at the Beer spa as well as our Guide. I would highly recommend this experience!

This was an amazing day! We really weren't sure what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised! The guide and driver, Hylnur, was brilliant in giving us tips and chatting to us on the short journey. The spa itself was beautiful - the beer bath was a great experience (and of course we enjoyed drinking the beer too!), the relaxation room was definitely relaxing, and the outdoor hot tub was stunning! It was wonderfully warm and the views were stunning! Everything was very clean and well presented, the beer was delicious and we definitely left feeling relaxed. I highly recommend this trip!

This trip is one of our best day trips during our stay in Iceland. Hlynur took us around Tröllaskagi Peninsula and stopped at several fishing villages/small towns. One of my favorite is Hólar which has the best swimming pool with splendid seaview. We spent plenty of time wandering in the herring museum in Siglufjörður. We also tried beer tasting in a small microbrewery ( I think its called Kaldi ?! ). The beer is no doubt the best I had in Iceland! Hlynur is awesome, and very informative. My friend an I enjoyed our day so much. I think this trip is the only one that go around Tröllaskagi Peninsula. For people like us that don’t drive, this tour is highly recommended.
