Mercury Grail

Thank you for a wonderful tour of the South Coast! My wife Jen and I had an amazing time with Andres. From Seljalandsfoss to the Black Beach, he was informative, professional, accommodating and friendly. Should I ever again have the opportunity to visit Iceland, I would love the privilege to book another tour with Andres and Mercury Grail.

Great experience! Andres made sure we hit all the stops on the Golden Circle and gave us enough time at every stop. I never felt rushed (compared to other group experiences I have had) and Andres really focused on how we were doing and what we wanted to do. The weather all day was pretty bad -- very rainy and cold -- but Andres made sure we had fun, stopped somewhere to get warm and dry when we needed, and was enthusiastic the entire time. Would definitely recommend Andres and his tour!

I took this tour with my teenaged children. I chose it first because we had to start our day late and Andres was completely flexible in what time we started and where he would pick us up. I was also interested to compare a private tour in a jeep with minibus and big bus tours I've done in Iceland. This tour really stood out. What we saw, the order we saw it in, and how long we spent was entirely up to us. Andres was full of welcome suggestions and always remembered to include time for rests and coffee and bathroom breaks. He is very knowledgeable not only about the sites but the areas you're driving through and he's happy to talk about anything and everything you find interesting. I've done the same tour in the past on a big bus and I learned a lot more with Andres. It was a very pleasant day and tailored entirely to what we felt like doing. He included extras he thought we might find interesting, and if we changed our minds as the day progressed he was okay with that. It was a bit like driving around with a friend who has taken a day off to show you the sights -- a really knowledgeable friend. It was a nice change from buses and crowds. I recommend it!
