Your one-week summer adventure in Iceland continues with the second leg of your South Coast exploration. After a morning pickup from your hotel near Jokulsarlon, your guide will lead you through another day of unforgettable sights, sharing stories and insights that bring each stop to life.

You’ll set off on a scenic drive toward one of Iceland’s most unforgettable places, the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. As you get closer, the landscape begins to change. Glaciers stretch down from the mountains, leading you to the edge of Vatnajokull National Park.

When you arrive, you’ll see the unforgettable sight of massive icebergs floating in the bright blue lagoon. The ice comes in different shapes and shades, with some pieces streaked with volcanic ash. If you're lucky, you might even spot seals swimming nearby or resting on the ice.

Nearby, you’ll see Diamond Beach, where icebergs from the lagoon wash up on the black sand. The contrast between the clear, sparkling ice and the dark volcanic sand is breathtaking. Take a stroll along the beach and enjoy the glistening ice chunks scattered across the shore.

After experiencing the lagoon and beach, you’ll head to Fjadrargljufur Canyon, carved by the Fjadra River over thousands of years. Walk along the marked trail and admire the lush, green views from above while learning more about how this natural wonder formed over time.

The day’s last stop is Vik, Iceland’s southernmost village. It’s famous for its black sand beaches, dramatic cliffs, and sea stacks. See the Vik i Myrdal Church, perched on a hill with panoramic views of the village and coastline. Vik is also an excellent spot for birdwatching, especially in summer when puffins nest on the cliffs.
