Hike and Bike

Our bike tour around Myvatn with Ragnar was one of the highlights of our 2-week trip to Iceland! What a treat it was to be shown the sites by a friendly, knowledgeable local who was so friendly and willing to answer all our questions not just about the area, but about Icelandic culture as well. The Myvatn baths were also fantastic, giving us the same gorgeous blue water that can be found elsewhere without the throngs of tourists. Can't recommend this experience enough for anyone visiting Iceland!

Our mountain bike tour was amazing! But, Guide to Iceland should know that their booking site (at the time I booked) and the confirmation email listed the time of the tour wrong. This caused us to arrive 45 minutes early for the tour when no staff were there, and we were pretty concerned that we had paid for a tour and would not get one. So, please get this right for other travelers! The guide was fantastic! We learned a lot about Iceland and the Myvatn area that we would never have learned on other tours. It was an excellent way to visit exciting sites that are not as well-known and not often visited by tourists. I highly recommend this tour!

Ragnar provided a beautiful tour and informed me of the geologic history of the area.

It's so worth taking this tour to see the behind-the-scenes of Myvatn. Elizabeth was so knowledgeable and personable, and I loved hearing about the history of the region, the baking traditions and then relaxing with a nice soak in the Myvatn Nature Baths at the end of the tour.
