Guide to Iceland

Our 4-Day Winter Tour with the Golden Circle, Ice Caving, and Snaefellsnes Peninsula was an unforgettable experience, and much of that is thanks to our excellent guide, Einar. From start to finish, Einar ensured our safety, particularly during the harsh winter weather, while keeping the atmosphere light with his witty, knowledgeable, and energetic personality. He was always ready to answer questions and made the journey enjoyable for everyone. The tour itself was fantastic. The destinations and highlights, from the Golden Circle to the ice caves, were absolutely breathtaking and exceeded our expectations. We could have easily spent more time at each location, and the landscapes were truly awe-inspiring. While the Northern Lights were a wonderful bonus, I feel the title of the tour, which emphasizes the Northern Lights, could be a bit misleading. The aurora was a supplemental part of the tour, and given its weather-dependency, it may not be the primary reason travelers should book this experience. Adjusting the title to focus more on the core activities would provide a clearer expectation for future guests. Unfortunately, on the final day, we were unable to visit the Snaefellsnes Peninsula due to a road closure. While the bus pick-up that day was a bit chaotic, we were swiftly returned to our hotels and offered a refund, which I appreciated as a gesture of good customer service. Overall, this tour was an incredible adventure, and despite a minor hiccup at the end, it delivered in every other way. Highly recommend it for those looking to experience Iceland’s stunning landscapes, though just keep in mind the Northern Lights are an added bonus, not the main attraction.

It has been an amazing journey!! The hostel was very nice and warm and a good place as a terminal to get pick up !! Every tours company is very professional and ready to communicate you for any change of plans!!during every trip they will explain you everything about the itinerary and general steps to follow to visit every place!!I just can say it has been a fantastic to travel with this guys!!

Wonderful Experience, in what became one of my top favorite countries.. Iceland 😍✨ The team are supportive and responsive to any queries or changes to the package. I had 7 days of unforgettable memories in Iceland ( saw rainbow, northern lights, whales, and flew over active volcano!!) The small group tours are fun, they pick great tour agencies with comfortable mini bus, friendly guides and complimentary wi-fi on bus. Hotel options are great, I loved the location of my hotel’Exeter Hotel’ in center next to most shops and restaurants, and hotel facilities and interior is very nice. Highly recommend Guide to Iceland, and would definitely book again with them to experience summer in Iceland 😍
