The only disappointment was that the volcano was not currently erupting ;-)!!! Seriously though, our guide - cannot recall his first name but our trip was the 16:30 trip in August 30 - was great! Good sense of humour but recounted lots of fascinating stories of the recent eruptions, including how locals would visit and watch the eruption while eating, drinking and playing music. The science lessons were excellent. We visited the lava flows from the most recent eruption, and one could feel the warmth from the fields of lava when the wind blew our way, the shimmering of the air heated about them, and the steam from the heated rainwater. Stunning views!
