This tour was amazing! Guide to Iceland provided us with a daily itinerary of sites to see. Since it was self-guided, we were able to do some side-quests (such as the Glymur hike on our way back to Reykjavik), as well as revisiting some of the attractions we really enjoyed (like the seal beach that was 5 minutes from one of our hotels). We never felt rushed or overwhelmed along the way. We saw waterfalls galore, seals at numerous locations, the black sand beach full of icebergs, red sand beach that goes on forever (bring water shoes to cross over to the ocean side!), sheep everywhere, pebble beach, cliffs, puffins (make sure if you want to see them that they haven’t already migrated), and an Arctic Fox that decided to visit one of the guest houses where we stayed! My only suggestion relates to personal preference: travelers who prefer not to share bathrooms, pay attention to that detail of the hotel accommodations. Many guest houses have shared bathrooms. Other than that, everywhere we stayed was comfortable and accommodating. We chose all locations that had breakfast included, picked up groceries at the local stores for lunch (protein bars, fruit, bread, peanut butter), then had dinner out. We didn’t have bad food or service anywhere! I highly recommended fish wherever you go (even if you are not a fan of fish, the freshness makes all the difference)! Before and during the trip, every time I reached out to my Guide to Iceland guide, I received a prompt and helpful response. The entire planning process was so simple with their package offerings and that they handled all reservations, flights, car rental, hotels, specialized tours. We would never have had the time to research or plan a trip to Iceland, so they made it possible for us to have this epic vacation!
