Summary: Great tour guide, RAIN GEARS highly recommended for this trip Our highland trop took off on a rainy and windy weather, which was not ideal especially for the hike in Landmannalaugar. We had outdoor jackets but still got all wet due to the rain, so good rain coats and pants are highly recommended. There was also a hot spring next to the hiking route so swim suites are definitely needed! I think most of the Iceland still looks nice even in bad weather such as Snaefellsnes and glacier lagoons as it gives a “end of the world” type of atmosphere, but the highland would look much better in sunny weather. Even though the weather was not ideal, we still enjoyed this trip because our tour guide Kinga is very kind, humorous and welcoming which made our trip a lot more fun. He is even one of the contributors to the documentary “Fire and Iceland” and showed us splendid videos of erupting volcanos. We also got to know a lot about the Icelandic culture, geography, and animals (We even talked about the pets in Iceland because I have two cats at home and Kinga has a rabbit which was so cute!!)
